A 28-Bore Bohemian Flintlock Holster Pistol Mid-18th Century With shortened etched twist barrel in the Turkish manner with encrusted silver decoration at the breech, and with raised sighting flat bearing a silver fore-sight, engraved tang, flat bevelled lock chiselled in relief with martial trophies (jaw screw replaced), carved moulded figured walnut full stock (butt cracked and repaired), full cast and chased brass mounts in the rococo taste retaining some original gilding, side-plate with two hounds at rest, trigger-guard with a stag and a hind in a wooded landscape, butt-cap with Diana armed with a bow accompanied by two hounds in a wooded landscape, shaped escutcheon with a portrait bust, and shaped ramrod-pipe, horn fore-end cap, and later wooden ramrod 14in.
