A BERLIN GOLD-GROUND TOPOGRAPHICAL LARGE CABINET-CUP AND SAUCER, the cup painted after Carl Daniel Freydanck with figures before the Kronprinzenpalais within a rectangular panel between moulded matt gilt bands of lines and interlocking branches, the stem moulded with flutes on a circular foot with overlapping leaves, the interior of the flared rim with a black band gilt with palmettes and scrolls and the branch handle with oak leaf terminals, the centre of the saucer with matt gilt martial trophies shaded in green within concentric bands of black enriched with gilding, matt gilt oak and laurel leaves shaded in green and moulded bands of flutes and beads (restored chip to rim of cup, slight chip to underside rim of saucer), blue sceptre and iron-red orb and K.P.M. marks, circa 1840
