Painted in shades of cobalt blue in the typical Ming style with a scrolling lotus on a leafy stem beneath bands of pendent ruyi heads and key-fret. The smaller bulb similarly decorated with a leafy lotus scroll, below bands of plantain leaves and pendent tassels. The foot is neatly painted with floral sprays below a lappet band. Provenance: Swedish trade. Condition: Very good condition with minor old wear and expected firing flaws. The rim with a short hairline.
