A BRITISH 1803 PATTERN OFFICER'S SABRE AND ANOTHER The heavy curved fullered blade with embellishments of gilt decorations on a blued ground with maker's name Gibson's, Thomson & Craig's Warranted marked at ricasso, gilt-brass hilt with lion head pommel, decorated leather scabbard with three gilt brass mounts. With another 1803 pattern, checkered ivory grip (cracked), lacking scabbard. 30½ inch blades Some staining on blade and wear to blue, leather fine, second sword with heavy grey patina to blade, otherwise as noted.
