A cased hydrometer, the ivorine thermometer plate signed WICKENDEN & SONS TUNBRIDGE WELLS , the hydrometer with graduated scale, maker's name and further stamped N o1512 SIKES P51° , with ten weights, in a fitted plush and silk-lined mahogany case -- 20.5cm. (8in.) wide ; a Customs and Excise alcohol meter, with brass heater and two graduated brass tubes with bulb sections, the larger with a second bulb containing mercury, in a fitted partially plush-lined case, the lid with a gilt-metal plaque for FIELD'S PATENT ALCOHOL METER N o197 CLASS 1 JOSEPH LONG MAKER LITTLE TOWER STREET LONDON -- 24.8cm. (9½in.) wide ; and a late 19th-Century lacquered-brass monocular microscope, a copper plaque on the foot for F.E. BECKER & Co LONDON , with draw-tube and micrometer focusing, substage aperture disc and plano-concave mirror, with one eyepiece and one objective, in a mahogany case with leather carrying handle -- 29.2cm.
