A Chinese patinated bronze two handled vase
probably 19th century, deep red brown patination, copper-brown patinated interior to neck, cast with pairs of dragons and flaming pearls, the neck and base with lappets enclosing foliage and the base with scale border, the shoulder with archaic style elephant handles, 14in. (35.5cm.) high, faults to patination.
Condition:
Both sides of the body have heavily rubbed / polished areas to the patination. The joint between the neck and body is loose and the neck can be lifted away from the body a little. Small dent to footrim and there is a rough area to the casting above this which has a hole through the bronze.
