H.: 20,5 cm - Dia.: 20 cm (the tallest covered jar) Provenance: The collection of deceased Belgian archeologist Thirot, active in South-East Asia between 1960 and 1990. Condition: (UV-checked) - Most of these pieces have been excavated and show related surface wear. - The lion-shaped incense holder with a small chip to the tip of one of the ears, two small rim chips to the tubular incense holder, a number of superficial chips around the base, baking-related discolouration and baking flaws. - The blue and white floral bowl on the far left with the top rim unglazed, possibly polished, and with a number of tight glaze lines extending downwards. The surface with superficial crackling, some stains, baking flaws and minor wear. - The brown-glazed jar, on the left of the lion, with the top rim unglazed, extensive superficial wear and numerous small areas of glaze loss. - The blue and white Annamese bowl, on the left of the jar and cover, with numerous small areas of glaze loss, small rim chips, surface crackling and superficial discoloration. - The brown-glazed dish, front left, with a small chip on the rim, minor baking flaws. Otherwise in very good condition. - The two bowls with incised floral design with small superficial rim chips, minor superficial wear and losses to the glaze. The largest with two tight hairlines on the rim, one also visible on the outside. - The large blue and white bowl on the right of the lion with a few small superficial rim chips, superficial crazing and discoloration. Four spur marks in the center of the bowl. - The brown-ground blue and white bowl, standing beneath the previously discussed bowl, with a ca. 7 cm crack on the rim with traces of glue reinforcement. Strongly discoulored, with baking flaws, small surface chips and minor wear. - The blue and white bowl on the far left in excellent condition. Possibly younger and not part of this excavated group, but a later addition. - The small vase on the far right with the top rim overpainted. - The small two-handled vase with important wear to the glaze. - The large covered jar with the jar showing superficial wear, minor superficial losses and small chips around the base. The cover in good condition.
