A COLLECTION OF NEAR EASTERN CUNEIFORM TABLETS Circa 3rd-2nd Millennium B.C. Including a small tablet dealing with the delivery or disbursement of bread, oil and flower, which also mentions the name of Ur-Nin, overseer from Nippur; four Ur III tablets, one a ration list of personnel, one concerning the delivery of rations to overseers for their workmen, one listing quantities of barley, and one which appears to be a barley receipt; six Old Babylonian tablets, one concerned with a loan of silver, "sealed by the witnesses the month the priest of Shamash was installed," one dealing with the delivery of a measured commodity, probably grain, maybe as wages to Nadimu-um, supervisor of Ea-ea, one a receipt for the delivery of a quantity of grain, one with a list of men with figures, presumably wages, one with a list of workers, and one with an administrative document; an Old Akkadian tablet with an administrative document recording seven wild donkey foals in connection with four donkey herders; two tablets in envelopes; two circular scribal training tablets; and two round bullae; together with a fragmentary Sumerian limestone bowl with a facing head of a lion (19)
