A collection of silver jewellery, including a silver and blue/green enamel brooch, by Charles Horner; a blue enamelled butterfly brooch, by Marius Hammer; a silver brooch modelled as a terrier; a small silver powder compact pendant; a silver thimble, by James Walker; and a silver pendant set with a heart-shaped amethyst. £100-150 Condition Report The shield-shaped brooch by Charles Horner with four blue/green enamel panels, the central panel showing enamel loss around the edge; the brooch is silver, hallmarked for Chester, 1909 and bearing maker’s mark ‘CH’; brooch width 25mm. The butterfly brooch with some small cracks in the enamel where the wings meet the body and one chip to the enamel at the bottom edge of the right wing; the brooch is stamped ‘930S’ and bears maker’s mark; brooch width 60.5mm. The third brooch modelled as a wire-haired terrier (Airedale or similar), showing some wear; reverse stamped ‘A.J.H.STERLING’; brooch width 22.5mm. The powder compact of round form, with mirror to inside lid, on suspensory loop; showing some wear and small dents all over; hallmarked for Birmingham, 1911, and bearing maker’s mark ‘H.W.Ld’; diameter 29mm. The thimble with floral textured finish, and band reading ‘James Walker, the London Jeweller’; bearing maker’s mark, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1929 and stamped ‘14’; showing some wear to top and sides. The pendant with heart-shaped amethyst, chipped and showing some wear; the silver mount with embossed flowerhead border, hallmarked for Chester, 1899, and bearing maker’s mark ‘CH’; mount showing some wear.
