A COLOURED DIAMOND AND DIAMOND PENDANT NECKLACE Designed as a line of a modified pear-shaped fancy light pinkish brown diamond weighing 5.19 carats, a French-cut diamond and a modified triangular-cut yellow diamond, each within a circular-cut diamond surround or frame, with diamond intersections, to the French-cut diamond and diamond-set S -link neckchain, mounted in 18k white, pink and yellow gold, 40.5 cm. With report no. 12159584 dated 14 August 2002 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the diamond is fancy light pinkish brown, natural colour, SI2 clarity With report no. 0206062 dated 2 July 2002 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the diamond is light brown, natural colour, I1 clarity. Accompanied by an appendix stating that the light brown diamond of 5.19 ct possesses an unique cutting style which is rarely encountered in the gem trade today. In addition, this diamond has properties typical of type IIa natural diamonds (a chemically very pure type of natural diamond). It displays a colour and degree of transparency which are particular to these unique gemstones. Diamonds of this type, exhibiting an antique cutting style as well as a fine quality, are very rare and will most certainly evoke references to the historic term of "Golconda".
