A Continental carved and stained wood mounted ebony walking stick, early 20th century, the grip modelled as a perching parrot, with inset glass eyes, above a silver collar, 91cm high; a French carved and polychrome painted wood mounted walking stick, early 20th century, the grip modelled as the bust of a peasant woman, the shaft with horn ferrule, 88cm high; a carved nut mounted stained wood walking stick, early 20th century, the grip modelled as a caricature face above a twist carved and tapered shaft, 84cm high; and a near pair of carved and stained beech walking sticks, almost certainly Russian, second quarter 20th century, the handles modelled as axe heads, each with a hammer and sickle in low relief to one side and initials to the other, 89.5 and 88.5cm high respectively
