A CONTINENTAL GOLD, SILVER-GILT, BAROQUE PEARL AND GEMSET GROUP OF TWO MUSICIANS AND A DOG, the figures of a man playing the bagpipes, another playing a viola and a dog each formed of gold and baroque pearls set with diamonds, the two musicians with silver hair and bearing traces of enamel, the violin player with a gemset flask, the silver gilt base engraved with a castle in a river landscape, signed Benvenuto ?Bentini on the reverse , the sides applied with alternating cameos and emeralds between ruby and diamond bracket settings, 17th Century with later additions and alterations , in glass case 3¾in. (9.5cm.) high
