A DELUXE TREASURE-CHEST CASED FACTORY ENGRAVED .22 SHARPS PATENT, MODEL 1A FOUR-BARREL DERINGER PISTOL, NO. 39454, CIRCA 1865 Inscribed Geo. B. Quigg Engraved with floral motifs on barrel, and scrolls on silver-finished brass frame marked C. SHARPS & CO. PHILADA. PA. and C. SHARPS PATENT 1859 , inscribed on backstrap Geo. B. Quigg , ivory grips with relief carved Zouave Head motif on left panel. Within a Macassar ebony (Coromandel wood) veneered Tipping & Lawden treasure-chest type casing. Gilt-brass straps and key-plate, blue felt lining, two ivory mounted tools, and silver-plated oil vessel 2½ inch (6.3cm.) barrels Barrel group with grey patina, traces of silver plate on frame. Case for a Tipping & Lawden type Sharps patent four-barrel Deringer pistol.
