A Dutch-engraved composite-stemmed wine-glass Circa 1765 The funnel bowl engraved with a double cartouche, one side depicting the Ark and a dove in flight carrying a sprig, the other with a rearing horse, beneath a banner engraved with the motto VREEDE EN VRYHEYD , framed by laurel garlands, on a short clear knopped section above an annular knop and opaque-twist stem, the gauze core encircled by two threads, on a conical foot (small rim chip) 6 in. (12.5 cm.) high
