A FINE 19TH CENTURY VIENNESE ENAMEL AND SILVER TABLE CLOCK IN THE MANNER OF HERMANN RATZERSDORFER circa 1870, in the Renaissance Revival style, the oval clock case surmounted by a figure of a putto, the reverse with painted enamel oval depicting a mythological scene, the sides with gilt decoration of roses, raised upon the back of an ostrich, the silver bird with white enamelled feathers, stood up a circular base with fine enamel decoration, on a domed foot with four roundels depicting classical and mythological scenes including the nude Venus bathing, the cobalt blue ground with gilt highlights, raised on four scrolling feet decorated with winged putto masks with enamelled wings, the underside with white enamel ground and scrolling blue foliate tendrils, the clock dial with gilt Roman numerals, the timepiece movement with jewelled balance wheel escapement, signed 'Moulinie Bautte & Moynier / Geneve', the interior of the case enamelled with a scene of Europa and the bull, 20cm high
