A FINE AND RARE LOUIS XV STYLE ORMOLU-MOUNTED TULIPWOOD AND SATINE BUREAU DE DAME BY FRANÇOIS LINKE INDEX NUMBER 552 BIS, THE MOUNTS DESIGNED BY LÉON MESSAGÉ, CIRCA 1905 The kidney-shaped top with gilt-tooled leather writing surface and moulded ormolu surround signed F. Linke , above a panelled frieze with foliate and shell-cast encadrement, fitted with a central drawer with foliate-engraved lock, the reverse stamped CT LINKE/SERRURERIE/PARIS and numbered N1 , on cabriole legs each headed by a foliate clasp running down to lion's paw sabots 29½ in. (75 cm.) high; 35¾ in. (91 cm.) wide; 21¾ in. (55 cm.) deep
