A FINE LARGE BLUE AND WHITE HEXAGONAL VASE QIANLONG SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD Each facet of the hu -form body painted in fifteenth century style imitating 'heaping and piling' with a scrolling, leafy stem bearing one large and five subsidiary blossoms on one side and four on the reverse, issuing from a foliate ruyi band below, with similar foliate sprays on the neck below a wide band of froth-capped waves interruped by a pair of tubular handles, with detached foliate sprays, similar to those on the foot, above and a band of keyfret at the rim, all within double line borders--17 3/4 in. (45cm.) high
