A FINE PAIR OF INCISED ' BAJIXIANG ' YELLOW-GLAZED DISHES YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARKS WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735) Each dish is well potted with rounded sides rising from a short cylindrical foot, incised to the exterior with the Bajixiang , 'The Eight Buddhist Emblems', borne on a foliate scroll growing leafy tendrils. Each is covered inside and out with iridescent yellow glaze with the exception of the base which is covered with a clear glaze. 6 1/4 in. (15.6 cm.) diam., box (2)
