A Fine Platinum, Burmese Sapphire and Diamond Ring, containing one oval mixed cut sapphire weighing approximately 11.00 carats, six baguette cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.46 carat total, two round brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.06 carat total, 16 round single cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.16 carat total, and 12 rose cut diamonds, intricate openwork gallery. Accompanied by a Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) sapphire identification and origin certificate number 89203, dated December 19, 2016, Stating: Sapphire, Weight: 11.00 Carats, Origin: Burma (Myanmar), Comments: No indications of heating. Accompanied by a Gübelin Gemological Laboratories sapphire identification and origin certificate number 16120093, dated January 2017, stating Species: Natural Corundum, Variety: Sapphire, Origin: Burma (Myanmar), Condition: No indication of heating. Accompanied by a Gubelin sapphire information sheet. 4.50 dwts. Estimate $ 110,000-130,000 The ring is fully intact with all stones present and securely set, no loose stones. The ring is just slightly larger than a size 7.25. The ring shows subtle seams for the various platinum components indicating handmade construction, no obvious indications of sizing or repair. Gem Characteristics (graded in setting) SAPPHIRE NOTE: Please see the Gubelin and SSEF gemological certificates for more information. The stone is blue in hue in both daylight equivalent and incandescent lighting, medium to slightly dark medium tone, strong saturation. The clarity of the stone is very high and it is eye clean, minute fingerprint under prong at one end, sparse (no heavy concentrations) Burma-type rutile needles of shorter length in cross-hatched pattern, two small fine particulate planes near the girdle edge in one corner under crown. The stone has very good cut proportions, minimal (less than 5%) windowing along the keel line, slight asymmetry in the pavilion, minute chip under 10X magnification to girdle edge in the middle on one side near a prong, minute indented natural at table edge under 10X magnification, no obvious scratches to table/crown. DIAMONDS Color: F-H Clarity: VS1-2, one baguette SI1+ (feather in crown) Condition: No obvious wear at 10X magnification
