A FINELY CARVED SMALL WHITE JADE SEAL 18TH CENTURY The seal is of flattened rectangular form, surmounted by a finely carved mythical beast with its head turned towards its long bushy tail. A further beast is depicted to one side and a bat with outstretched wings to the opposite side. The base is carved with the three characters ' bao zai tian ' in seal script. The stone is of an even tone, with honey russet inclusions cleverly utilised to highlight the animals. 1 ? in. (4.2 cm.) high
