A French Empire gilt bronze figural mantel clock, the round enamel dial with Roman numerals is set in the wheel of a chariot drawn by dogs, the movement housed in a drum case that forms the body of the chariot driven by a standing winged Cupid holding a flaming torch in one hand and the reins in the other, rectangular base decorated with low-relief frieze in the style of Claude Clodion (1738–1814), raised upon lion paw feet.
