French mahogany-cased compass sundial, unsigned; late 19th Century the inner case lid with paper printed latitude table for fifty-one cities, the dial plate with hinged hour ring numbered IIII-XII-VIII with central stutt for rod gnomon, hinged latitude arc 0-73° scale, the compass with circumference scale of 0-360° , delineated for eight compass points (initialled) and needle 9.5cm. (3¾in.) wide
