A French mantel clock , the cylinder movement striking on a single bell, contained within a hightly ornamental porcelain and brass-mounted case formed as a gong stand, the circular swinging dial decorated in blue, red, yellow, green and gilt paints simulating champleve enamel, flanked by two circular-section supports surmounted by pierced brass finials and joined by a pierced scrolling pediment, the pierced indented rectangular base surmounted by two white glazed elephants, on short scrolled toes, damages, 19th Century, probably made for the Eastern market, 19ins (48.5cms) high, 14ins (35.5cms) wide
