A GEORGE III CREAM AND GREEN-PAINTED BOOKCASE CABINET CIRCA 1770-75, POSSIBLY BY THOMAS CHIPPENDALE With two graduated open shelves above panelled doors enclosing a shelf on a plinth base, with chinoiserie decoration of rocky landscapes, trees and pagodas, the backboards with chalk inscription 'Beaulieu' and numbered 'V6905', some refreshment to the green paint 46 ¾ in. (119 cm.) high; 29 ½ in. (75 cm.) wide; 17 ¼ in. (44 cm.) deep Provenance Acquired from Phillips of Hitchin at Grosvenor House, 1970.
