A GEORGE III CREAM, POLYCHROME-DECORATED AND PARCEL-GILT PIER TABLE ATTRIBUTED TO GEORGE BROOKSHAW CIRCA 1780 The demilune top with a painted fan within concentric borders of solid bands, pearls, and lush floral garlands against a cream ground, the outer banded border painted with ribbon-tied garlands of roses, lilies, daisies and other flowers above a frieze carved with waterleaves, husks and beadwork flanking a band of ribbon-tied husks and patera, raised on fluted circular tapering legs headed with applied silver-rimmed copper-painted rosettes, the back rail with Leverhulme paper inventory label H108 35 in. (89 cm.) high, 55 in. (140 cm.) wide, 21¼ in.(54 cm.) deep
