A George III silver tea-kettle, stand, lamp and salver the tea-kettle, stand and lamp with maker's mark of Humphrey Payne, the salver with maker's mark of John Robinson London, 1741 The salver shaped-triangular and on three leaf-capped scroll feet, with shell and foliate scroll border, chased with a band of shells, scrolls and scalework, the centre engraved with a coat-of-arms within rococo scroll, foliage and waterfall cartouche, the stand on four shell and leaf-capped scroll feet and with shell, mask and floral swag apron and with plain lamp, the inverted pear-shaped kettle with fluted spout, hinged slightly domed cover with pineapple finial and leaf-capped scroll part-wicker covered swing handle, the body chased with shells, scrolls and foliage on a matted ground, engraved with a coat-of-arms within rococo shell and foliate scroll cartouche, marked on tea-kettle, lamp and salver, the tea-kettle cover unmarked the salver 9½in. (25cm.) wide the tea-kettle and stand 13¾in. (35cm.) gross. 87ozs. (2,705grs.) The arms on the kettle are those of Archer impaling another with a cadency mark for the 3rd son. The arms on the salver are those of Archer with a cadency mark for the 2nd son.
