A German parcel-gilt beaker and cover Mark of Johann Christoph Treffler, Augsburg, circa 1700 Tapering cylindrical and on three ball feet, the detachable slightly domed cover with detachable foliage calyx and ball finial, engraved with a band of scrolling sunflowers and daffodils, the body finely engraved with three oval foliate scroll cartouches with military trophies between, each containing the standing figure of a Roman emperor and with inscription, ' IVBA REX, NERO CAES, OTTO CAES', marked on base and cover 6¾in. (17cm.) high 15oz. (497gr.)
