Penlington and Hutton, Liverpool, the case with rippled upper section and applied carved fruit over straight sides terminating in a pair of scrolls on a multi-stepped base and block feet, the shaped silvered dial with Roman numerals and plain minute track framed by foliate scrolls with a strike/silent subsidiary dial above, the substantial triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement striking the hours on a coiled blued steel gong and chiming the quarters on a run of eight graduated bells, (repeating the hours and the quarters on pulling a cord to the left hand side of the case). Ticking, striking and chiming, with pendulum, two case keys and a winding key. The clock 63cm high, the bracket a further 23cm,
