A Goto School Tsuba , Two Shakudo Tsuba and an Iron Tsuba Edo period (19th century) The first, a Goto Ichijo-school rounded-square tsuba finished in shakudo and decorated with dragonflies and butterflies in iroe takazogan and mists in gold hirazogan ; the second, a circular shakudo plate inlaid with ivy in gold hirazogan around the rim and finished in tsuchime-ji in the center; the third a Nara-school oval iron tsuba with an uneven finish on the surface and decorated with Chinese scholars and incense burner in iroe takazogan ; the fourth, a miniature oval tanto tsuba in shakudo nanako carved on the surface with crashing waves and highlighted with gold dots of foam, the rim with gold vines in hirazogan 2¾in.
