A group of Byzantine mould-pressed amulets Eastern Mediterranean, circa 5th-6th Century A.D. Including one in amber glass, with a long tailed lion facing left; three dark blue amulets, one with a lion facing right, a star and crescent above, the second with a bull beside a tree, the third with two standing figures, possibly Adam and Eve; three amulets in green glass with a frog; and a red glass amulet with the head of Medusa, 22mm average length; three Sasanian vessel appliqués, with human faces, circa 5th-7th Centuries A.D., 4.5cm maximum diam; a group of green glass appliqués, including a green glass lion mask, circa 1st Century A.D.; another in purple glass; two appliqués with grotesque actor's masks, circa 2nd-4th Century A.D.; two with inscriptions; two pale green lion mask appliqués, possibly façon de Venise; and a seal from an 18th Century English glass wine bottle with a deer crest, 4cm maximum diam; and an Egyptian opaque red glass plaque, modelled with a son of Horus, Qebhsenuef, Roman period, 1in (2.5cm) (21)
