A group of early 19th century and later leather sewing cases including lady's companion Estimate £200-300 - lady's companion, gilt puce leather modelled like a book, with naming to the spine, light rubbing lower down, pink paper interior but lacking all fittings, height 10cm width 4.5cm - lobed cylindrical purple leather case housing black plastic? later? comb, steel bodkin, tapered square glass scent bottle with plated lid, 1.75cm base metal thimble, steel loupe, pair of steel scissors, steel knife, and steel needle case, some of these fittings probably associated, height 8cm diameter 4.25cm - early 19th century squared red leather case housing ivory and horn combined snuff spoon and tweezers, steel folding blade?, turquoise tipped gold overlaid pencil and an ivory needle? fixed into the case, height 7.5cm width 1.75cm, inked initial T to one end - early 19th century steel mounted red leather purse shaped case, unrolling to reveal coloured silks running down the length of it, a green cloth interior and a flap opening to reveal further compartments, other than the silks no other fittings, 6.5 x 7.5cm when closed, unrolls to 30.5cm, overall good condition - small early Victorian gilt red leather sarcophagus shaped needle case with lid named NEEDLES, and turned ivory feet, probably original yellow silk and dotted foil lining, light rubbing and loop handle starting to split, width 5cm height 3cm
