Property of an Italian private collectionA group of four small gold snuff boxes, Geneva and Paris, early 19th century and later, the first Gérard Lugol, Paris 1798-1809, rectangular with rounded corners, polished gold panels within chased scrolling borders on a matted ground, maker's mark, Paris unofficial 3e titre, Paris moyenne garantie 1798-1809, post-1918 French eagle's head control mark, 7.4 cm., 3 in. wide; the second, Olivet-Bury & Cie., Geneva, circa 1825, rectangular with scrollwork border around an engine-turned ground centred with a blank rectangular cartouche, slightly waisted sides, maker's mark incuse, Geneva town mark, struck 18K, 6.4cm., 2 1/2 in. wide; the third, a three-coloured gold snuff box, Geneva, circa 1825, rectangular, the lid centred with an oval medallion chased with a fountain within flowers, engine-turned ground and bow-shaped thumbpiece, slightly waisted sides and polished footrim, maker's mark rubbed, Geneva town mark, double shell control mark, 5.6cm. wide, 2 1/8 in. wide; the fourth, Louis-François-Tronquoy, Paris, circa 1820, of varicolour gold, rectangular, the lid centred with an oval cartouche chased a fountain surrounded by fruit, with a bow-shaped thumbpiece, rubbed maker’s mark in a vertical lozenge, Paris grosse recense 3e titre 1819-1838, 4.9cm. wide, 1 7/8 in. wide; (4)
