VARIOUS DATES AND MAKERS, MOSTLY DE ROHAN ERA, 18TH CENTURY
A GROUP OF NINETEEN MALTESE SILVER ITEMS OF FLATWARE VARIOUS DATES AND MAKERS, MOSTLY DE ROHAN ERA, 18TH CENTURY Comprising:- 5 sherbet spoons with long, part spiral-twist stems and Old English pattern terminals, all by different makers, 2 of which are Ball period, early 19th century and a pair by Pietro Migliano, de Rohan era; a pair of fiddle pattern table forks and one other; 2 fiddle pattern table spoons; 3 fiddle and shell teaspoons with maker's mark PA; a fiddle, thread and shell pattern tablespoon apparently by same maker and additionally marked DF or DP with fleur-de-lys above and engraved with the arms of an unidentified Knight of Malta; and 5 various fiddle, thread and shell teaspoons, three of which are engraved with initials Length of sherbet spoons 8 in. (20.2 cm.) 23 oz. (713 gm.) (19)
