A GROUP OF OBJECTS: Including: A GILT-EMBOSSED BLUE LEATHER MATCHBOX COVER Of rectangular form, embossed with the gilt monogram F.D.R. on one side and a coat-of-arms designed by F.D.R. of an anchor and four stars surrounded with a rose garland and inscribed Franklin Delano Roosevelt on the reverse side, holding a green felt-lined matchbox 2½in. (6.5cm.) wide PROVENANCE: Franklin D. Roosevelt, from a set designed by Franklin D. Roosevelt when he was Assistant Secretary of the Navy. John A. Roosevelt by descent. A RENAISSANCE STYLE BRONZE HANDBELL 20th century Cast with birds, beasts and foliage and with inscription AGNVS PELICANVS LEO AQVILA 2¼in. (5.5cm.) diameter PROVENANCE: Eleanor Roosevelt, used during her lifetime at Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site, Val-Kill, Hyde Park, New York. John A. Roosevelt by descent.
