A GROUP OF ONE SWISS AND FIVE GERMAN OR AUSTRIAN SILVER TRENCHER SALTS VARIOUS DATES AND MAKERS, 18TH CENTURY Comprising:- one by by Heinz Heinrich Zimmermann, Zurich, circa 1750, shaped oval chased with scrollwork band on textured ground, gilt interior; another similar with fluted and rocaille decoration, Nuremburg, 1766/1769; another similar, mark of IDH, Augsburg, 1759/61; another similar, mark of HM conjoined, town mark indistinct, also with later Austro-Hungarian control mark for Gratz, 1806/1807; also two circular salts with waisted sides and gilt interiors, one indistinctly marked, apparently with maker's mark IG and a " 13" standard mark, the other with maker's mark I.W and "12" standard mark, also with later Austro-Hungarian control mark for Brünn, initialled MB conjoined under foot rim; together with six various English and Continental salt spoons First item 4 ½ in. long (11.3 cm.) 19 oz. (589 gm.)
