A group of Royal English silver articles, 18th century the salvers each with shell and scroll borders and on three scroll feet; the toasted cheese dish engraved on the cover and interior with the badge of Queen Charlotte, the four dinner plates engraved with the Royal Arms, with later shaped circular gadrooned borders; all pieces with pricked initials EWD comprising: a pair of salvers with the Royal Badge, by Simon LeSage, London, 1759; a toasted cheese dish with the badge of Queen Charlotte, maker's mark WS possibly for William Stroud, London, 1800; and four German silver dinner plates with the Royal Arms, two by Hermann Sander, Hannover, two maker's mark AHD conjoined (listed by Scheffler as Andreas Hornung, but possibly Alexander Heinrich Diester) diameter of salvers 10in. 25.5cm 176oz 15dwt gross 5498g
