A HUANGHUALI WAISTED CORNER-LEG TABLE, ZHOU 17TH/18TH CENTURY The two-panel top is set within a rectangular frame with 'ice-plate' edge above a short, narrow waist and shaped, beaded aprons carved with scrolls and further carved with ruyi at the corners. Of square section, the legs are carved with beaded edges and joined by stepped stretchers and terminate in hoof feet, further carved with a stylized flower. 34½ in. (87.7 cm.) high, 58½ (148.7 cm.) wide, 19¾ in. (50.3 cm.) deep
