A KASHAN LUSTRE POTTERY DISH CENTRAL IRAN, 13TH CENTURY Of unusual form, the flat base rising through a sharply cusped cavetto to the flat everted rim, the white interior painted in lustre with a central scrolling arabesque roundel within a band of naskh inscription, the cavetto with further inscriptions running around the lobes, the rim with a band of reserved kufic , the exterior with panels of bold scrolling motifs, repaired breaks, very slight iridescence 9¼in. (23.3cm.) diam.
