Forging pattern ( jihada ): mokume ko-itame . Tempering pattern ( hamon ): hoso-suguba . Point ( boshi ): large and rounded ( o-maru ) with slight flame-brushed tip ( hakikake ). Tang ( nakago ). Shape ( keitai ): o-suriage ; file marks ( yasurime ): slanted ( katte-sagari ); end ( nakagojiri ): squared ( kirijiri ); holes ( mekugi-ana ): one; signature ( mei ): unsigned ( mumei ). Shirasaya . Accompanied by a tokubetsu kicho token certificate issued by the N.B.T.H.K., no. 5504970, dated Showa 55 (1980); and an origami by Honnami Koson, dated Showa 24 (1940), attributing the blade to Enju Kuniyoshi.
