Lange & Söhne, Glashütte b/Dresden, No. 34004, manufactured in 1896 Cal. 17''' three quarter plate gilt-finished lever movement, 16 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, gold lever and escape wheel, swan neck regulator, diamond endstone, repeating on two hammers, glazed dust cover, gold cuvette, white enamel dial, Empire numerals, gold Louis XV hands, sunk centre and subsidiary seconds, heavy Lucia case with finely engraved and chased renaissance decoration in the manner of Professor Graff, front centred by engraved initials EK , engraved bust of a Lady representing Germany to the reverse, repeating slide in the band, case, cuvette, dial and movement signed 50 mm. diam.
