A lanternclock Circa 1650, signed Robert Cosbeys in Mark lane fecit Brass case with silvered chapter ring and alarm ring. Going train with verge escapement and balance. Stricking at the hour. One weight and eyelet. H. 39 cm Provenance: Private collection, The Netherlands. N.B.: Robert Cosbeys was a pupil in 1646 and free of the Clockmakers Company from 1653-1689.
