1940-1942, comprising a series of papers from the 1941 strike including a reinstatement letter to Paul Long on Fantasia stationary; a membership book for the Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators & Paperhangers; a July 2, 1941 Variety pamphlet with an article about the strike, a “Here are Answers” sheet about the strike; 18 Screen Cartoon guild newsletters; a newsletter entitled “Walt Disney refuses U.S. offer to End Strike;" a notice to all employees from the Board of Directors ordering the temporary suspension of general operations; a Western Union informing Paul Long of the temporary shutdown of the studio; an official strike card and several photos of the strike; a Xmas card from Screen Cartoonist; a typed letter dated August 19, 1940 offering Paul Long a tryout training; a 1942 Ward Kimball Christmas card; a World War II Disney Christmas card; a letter of recommendation from the Academy of Motion Pictures; Long’s sketch pad while he was overseas; two letters of confirmation of employment from the Disney studio; a Paul Long drawing for a Christmas card; a typed letter dated April 12, 1943 to Paul Long while overseas to let him know about the new magazine Dispatch signed Walt along with the magazine which is also signed To Paul Walt; newspaper articles on Bambi and other Disney films; an original pencil drawing of Disney characters, a Fantasia and a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiere program; and several magazines.
