A large miscellaneous group of Egyptian amulets and other items Various Periods Including a dark green glazed composition amulet of a sow, with suspension loop, Late Period, 1¾in (4.4cm); a pale blue glazed composition amulet of a couchant lion, with incised details and a hole at the back of the head for a headdress now missing, Saite Period, 2¼in (5.7cm), chipped; a fragmentary blue and black glazed composition amulet of human-headed falcon, Late Period, 2in (5cm); an amulet of Ptaichos set against a plaque engraved with a winged Nut, Late Period, 13/8in (3.6cm) chipped; a fragmentary blue glazed composition cow, 17/8in (4.8cm) legs missing, chipped; a limestone baboon, with a hole under the belly, 21/8in (5.4cm); a turquoise glazed composition bulbous fitting with a square hole for attachment at the back, 1½in (3.8cm); a small grey agate falcon with suspension loop, a haematite headdress amulet, base damaged, a black stone double plume amulet, all Late Period, 1in (2.6cm) longest; two black stone animals, one a fragmentary crocodile, possibly Romano-Egyptian, 23/8in (6cm), and one an oxyrhyncus fish on an integral rectangular base, possibly Not Ancient 3in (7.6cm); and various other amulets, beads and fragments, some Not Ancient, (a lot)
