A LATE REGENCY ORMOLU AND LAPIS LAZULI-MOUNTED, EBONY AND EBONIZED MEDALS CASKET The casket circa 1825, and the geometric ormolu frames to the tops and sides circa 1715 by André-Charles Boulle and adapted from the drawers of a médailler , the other mounts circa 1825 The coffered lid and sides framing geometric ormolu mounts with fleur-de-lys and Greek key decoration, inset with lapis lazuli squares, the top with additional oval and grotesque mounts inset with lapis lazuli ovals, the canted corners with figural mounts and the central front panel opening to an interior of eight, silk-lined medals drawers, bearing a paper label: Catalogue No./Exhibited by: Mr. W. Gregory/Grantham/number of case:/98 12½in. (32cm.) high, 21½in. (54.5cm.) wide, 16in. (40.5cm.) deep
