* A Late Victorian Mahogany Calendar Clock, late 19th/early 20th century, t. ganter, london, having a silvered circular dial with Arabic numeral hours above day, date, and month wheels, within an architectural case having a shell carved pediment cornice over an arched glazed door flanked by Corinthian columnar supports, raised on a plinth base and flattened toupie feet, the rear door bearing a label reading "T. Ganter, Watch & Clock Maker, Jeweller & c., 21 Chalk Farm Road, Haverstock Hill." Height 17 1/2 inches. Estimate $ 1,500-2,500 Property from the Collection of Alan Friedman, Boca Raton, Florida The clock runs and strikes, but the hammer and coil are not well-aligned resulting in poor sound. The calendar mechanism does not currently function in sync with the time mechanism; does not appear to adjust for short months and leap years.
