Lot consists of: (A) Scarce Model 1891 first model side loader. 24" round barrel with 2/3 length magazine tube. Chambered in .22 S,L,& L.R. Plain, straight grain walnut stock and forearm. CONDITION: Good overall. Metal is mostly a heavy brown/blue patina with scattered freckling and oxidation. Wood is solid with a few stress cracks at the tang. Bore is dark, action a bit sticky. Would be greatly improved on with a good cleaning and lubrication. (B) Marlin Model 1893 Carbine. 20" round barrel with full length magazine. Chambered in .30 W.C.F.. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. CONDITION: Very good overall. 10-15% original blue blending with brown patina on the barrel and magazine. Frame and lever are mostly a grey/brown patina. Rear sight is a replacement. Stock has been modified to accept a shotgun style black, hard rubber buttplate. Buttplate is broken at toe. A couple of crudely inlaid copper pieces on left side of stock. Stock has a couple stress cracks at the frame. Forearm is fine showing modest wear. Bore is fine with moderate abrasion.
