* A Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Parquetry Dressing Table and Mirror charles bernel, paris, circa 1900 the swiveling oval mirror cast to show rocaille and budding vines issuing the two scrolling candle arms, the reniform quarter-veneered top above the conforming frieze fitted with three aligned drawers, the central drawer lockplate marked Charles Bernel Paris/ Meubles d'Art, raised on cabriole legs. Height overall 54 x width 41 1/2 x depth 22 inches. Estimate $2,000-4,000 Property from the Collection of Richard and Diane Fisher, Bayside, Wisconsin In overall good, stable, usable condition. All bronze mounts present, without dents, having fairly even bright patina. Mirror plate intact. Candle slides replacements, unsure as to condition of wiring. Finish to desk mostly even but with some areas of discoloration (water staining) to top. Some age splits to veneer with some areas of loss to the legs, some pieces retained but not all.
