A LOUIS XVI GILTWOOD CONSOLE CIRCA 1780, ATTRIBUTED TO GEORGES JACOB OR JEAN-BAPTISTE SENE, BRANDED 'TH' WITH THREE FLEURS-DE-LYS, PALAIS DES TUILERIES AND WIHT INSCRIBED LABEL 'PALAIS DES TUILERIES/GM/ANTI CHAMBRE' Of demilune form, the moulded verde antico marble top above a frieze carved with acanthus leaf-tips and beading, resting on four tapering legs spirally-carved with grapevines and with Ionic capitals resting on a shaped pierced stretcher carved with Vitruvian scroll and centering an urn hung with grapevine swag, branded with three fleurs-de-lys, stamped 'PALAIS DES TUILERIES' and with a label inscribed 'PALAIS DES TUILERIES/GM/ANTI CHAMBRE', the cross strut configuration beneath top where it joins frieze has been altered 36¼ in. (92 cm.) high, 69 in. (175 cm.) wide, 22½ in. (57.5 cm.) deep
