A LOUIS XVI PARCEL-ENAMELLED GOLD BONBONNIÈRE SET WITH A MINIATURE BY CLÉMENT DUPONT (FL. 1788-1807), MARKED, PARIS, 1788/89, WITH THE SECOND CHARGE AND DISCHARGE MARKS OF HENRY CLAVEL 1782-1789 circular box, the cover with a watercolour miniature on ivory of an officer called Baron de Clercx de Waroux wearing the Austrian white uniform, within translucent blue enamel border with gold paillons , split pearls and white opaque margins, the base and sides similarly bordered, the sides engine-turned with horizontal reeding and scattered with pellets and stars, the base engine-turned with circular reeding and similarly scattered; hinged shagreen case 2½ in. (64 mm.) diam. (2)
