Beschreibung:

A one-page typed script titled "Marilyn Monroe" which outlines a voice-over narration for the star which evidently was intended to accompany footage of her performances for the troops in Korea in February, 1954. Probably penned by the P.R. department at Fox (or whoever was working on this project), Monroe's numerous pencilled corrections appear throughout the document. She crossed out certain words and sentences and replaced them with her own text, including these examples written entirely in her own hand: "Anytime the men could come off / the line..."; "That's how we got around from base to base"; and "Somehow / I knew it was raining - but I didn't / feel it - all I could think was I hoped / they weren't getting too wet." She ends with "Korea - / an experience I'll never forget," though a number of her other annotations are also evident. It is now unknown whether Monroe was ever recorded or filmed dictating this particular script, but it is documented that her time in Korea was meaningful to her. 11 x 8 1/2in
